TIP: It is very difficult for a pup-sub to maintain pup-mode for more than a few hours at a time… I suggest using “mode-switching” to switch him into “boyfriend-mode” or “slave-mode” when he is not being trained as a pup for the first few months. A good signal is to (click your fingers twice) to switch modes. He should be clear about what he needs to do when switching modes and become conditioned to swapping between them quickly and easily. After a few months of this he will be able to indicate to you if he wants more time in either mode so you can adapt to how long you keep him in pup mode depending on how well his body has become conditioned to it.
